Bob Robbins is a co-founder and a Principal of Robbins Farley, LLC. With over 20 years of experience as a Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager, Bob develops, implements, and manages portfolios to enhance our comprehensive wealth planning strategies. As a niche, Bob assists professional executives and owners of privately-held businesses to develop strategies, helping guide them through major liquidity events by leveraging his previous successful career as a serial entrepreneur.
Bob graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and engaged in graduate study and research at Cornell University. After a career as an electrical engineer, he explored his interest in the cause and effect of economic indicators on financial and business cycles. As a Portfolio Manager, he incorporates those studies into the Robbins Farley portfolio management philosophy.
As a Principal, Bob collaboratively works with the team. He applies his years of experience to help guide the practice. He also holds the designations of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) . By integrating his experience and knowledge, Bob is uniquely situated to navigate the needs facing small businesses, professional practices, and individuals to help them achieve their wealth management goals.
Away from the office, Bob pursues his passion and love of music. He has played his trumpet professionally since his teenage years, and today plays regularly with the Nottingham Brass Quintet and the Volare Jazz Band. Bob is an avid sailor and enjoys sailing, kayaking, cycling, and cross-country skiing with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
